Open SpareCam on the Camera phone and confirm Camera mode is on, its foreground-service notification is present, and the phone has a usable network. Restart Camera mode after switching Wi-Fi. In LAN-only mode, both phones must be on the same local network without client isolation.
An event and a finished recording are separate. Storage pressure, an interrupted Camera runtime, codec failure, or a Camera that becomes unreachable can leave an event with only a preview or incomplete media. Check the Camera phone's storage and connection before trying playback again.
Yes. A role switch changes what the app does on that phone. Reset Setup is the deeper option: it removes pairing and local trust state so the device can start a fresh setup path.
Often it does not. Many guest networks prevent connected devices from seeing each other. Use a normal home LAN or change the router's client-isolation setting only if you understand the security tradeoff.
Follow the verified email process on the Data Deletion page. Data stored locally on each phone must be removed on that phone by Reset Setup and, if desired, uninstalling the app.
