SpareCam currently targets Android phones for both Camera and Viewer roles. Closed-beta distribution will use Google Play once the signed release and tester access path are ready.

SpareCam is preparing for its Android closed beta.
The Android MVP is built and in production-hardening. Public Google Play installation is not open yet, so this page shows the real release status instead of a dead store button.

iOS is planned.
The website stays platform-neutral because iOS support is part of the product direction. There is no App Store download yet, and no iOS availability date is being promised.
Device checklist
What the Android phones need
- A working camera, Wi-Fi radio, microphone, and local storage
- Permission to run SpareCam's visible foreground service
- A dependable charger for the phone used as the Camera
- A network that does not block the two phones' selected path
- Enough free storage for motion-triggered event recordings
Exact Android-version and device compatibility will be published with the signed Google Play release. Very old devices can differ in codec support, background limits, camera drivers, and thermal behavior, so a real test on both phones is part of setup.
What beta access means
Closed beta is for validating connection reliability, motion alerts, local recording, recovery after network changes, and the everyday experience on a wider range of phones. It is not a public launch or a guarantee that every old handset will work.
If you ask about access, include the Camera and Viewer phone models and Android versions. Do not include passwords, pairing codes, or private video.
